Identifying a target niche is easiest when you stay close to yourself

Niche internet marketing creates more opportunities, not less. If you're able to identify the needs and/or demands of the target niche and answer them correctly, you will be regarded as an expert. If we consider the illustration of running an advertisement campaign to sell more shoes for Company X, somebody that sees an ad that is targeted at everybody and straightforward says "Shoes" will see Company X as any random generic shoe company. They will loose interest immediately. However, if a male sports fan sees awesome basketball shoes that are 10% cheaper for any limited time only, the customer will consider Company X a lot more a specialist on cool basketball shoes at a bargain price.
Identifying a target niche is easiest when you stay close to yourself, instead of stubbornly go looking for the ideal target audience in numbers. Look for a situation or kind of person you have affinity with and can connect with. Especially when it comes to internet marketing, some forcefully sell insurance or weight loss plans simply because they learn about the money individuals are making carrying this out. Why don't you just write a website on what your real interests are, make people relate to your story and simply write an advertorial about products you actually stand behind and therefore are of interest for the audience once per week. It's all about the niches!
What many people don't realise, is that even big firms that sell almost any product utilize strategic marketing to achieve niches. For instance, the company Sometimes for, Imbull is specialised in websites which help visitors find and use vouchercodes and other moneysaving tools. Our biggest website, has almost 3000 stores listed. With this many stores and niches to consider, it might be simple to think our marketing is very diffuse. But even we must target niche audiences when we create Adwords campaignes, write blog articles, start a quiz contest, create a strategic social media marketing plan etc.
First of all, niche internet marketing could be much more economical and has been made incredibly easy through online advertising. In the search engines Adwords and Adsense, Facebook, Linkedin and much more platforms you are able to be very demo-specific in your ad targets. For instance, you have to sell more shoes for Company X. If you would begin a CPM (Cost Per Mille/1000 views) advertising campaign you'll need a high conversion ratio (turn impressions into actions). When you create two different ads, one with a picture of the basketball shoe directed at men who have interests in sports, one with a rearfoot pump that you simply target at ladies who like glamour magazines within the age 18-35, your odds of getting noticed are much bigger than whenever you create one ad that simply says "Shoes" and is targeted at both groups.
