Black is used on the midsole, heel as well as on the inner lining

The newest Jordan 2.0 colorway to drop features a light grey nubuck leather upper. Black is used on the midsole, heel as well as on the inner lining. The gorgeous elephant print can be used on the upper extending from the mid section to the toe box, extending around the entire box. Gold accents are utilized around the tongue, Air unit, and also the old Air Jordan logo. A white rubber outsole finishes from the shoe.

The Jordan 2.0 is a sick looking shoe. Exactly the same cannot be said concerning the original Jordan II. Many Jordan shoe fanatics have critisized Jordan Brand to make changes to the original Air Jordan's. To every his own, however the inclusion of elephant print and the 360 Air Max unit have completely changed the appearance and perfomance of the original shoe. This is one pair of Jordan shoes for basketball that, unlike the original II, is truly epic.

The original Air Jordan type of basketball shoes is undoubtedly the most popular line of shoes ever. From the original Jordan I to the most up to date Jordan 2011, there isn't just one shoe in the line that isn't epic. Well, perhaps there is one shoe from that line that doesn't become qualified as epic. Many Jordan shoe fanatics consider the Jordan II to be a less than epic. Jordanheads are not the only shoe fanatics that do not consider this shoe to become a true Jordan classic. Jordan himself also didn't care much for the shoe. So much in fact he considered leaving Nike and signing with another shoe company.

Not only did the the Air Jordan 2 sell poorly upon it's original release, it were built with a horrible first appearance like a retro. It simply didn't sell. Actually, the shoe wound up on discount racks at Footlocker and even went to the rear row at TJ Maxx. A set of the Jordan II Retros could be copped for pennies around the dollar. The problem was the shoe's midsole. It had been too soft and would crack effortlessly. As a result, many sneakerheads simply threw them away or these were demoted to yardwork duty.

After the failure of the Jordan II Retros, Jordan Brand, years later, has presented the environment Jordan 2.0 in an attempt to make the shoe more marketable. Apparently JB decided that some changes were so as so the shoe could be much more marketable. The silhouette from the Jordan II was used with some changes designed to the midsole and design on the upper. The midsole uses the Nike 360 Max Air cushioning. In addition the famous elephant print in the Jordan III can be used around the upper and extends in the mid section to the toe box.
